I hope that you are having an amazing week thus far! Now let's get started, shall we?
Today in Jamaa, we have a lovely new item. Sold in Jam Mart Furniture for 400 gems we have the Cornucopia! Three words for you my friends: I. Love. This. It's non member, it looks good, it isn't overly expensive- what's not to love? In fact, all three of the Autumn items so far have been non member-it is almost like AJHQ has had a change of heart since Halloween
Did you know that the word Cornucopia derives from the Latin words: Cornu Copiae, which roughly means Horn of Plenty? As a matter of fact, this festive item is often called a Horn of Plenty! A little bit of history for you- the original stories of the Cornucopia came from the Greeks and the Romans, and has become part of popular culture today, most often associated with Thanksgiving!.
And now for the factual part of this post!
Our word of the day:
tachyphaga- to eat fast
The words us humans come up with- craziness!
Our fact of the day:
The Sanskrit word for war means "desire for more cows".
Just think about this for a minute. All this time, the phrase: "This means war" meant "This means a desire for more cows" in a different language. The things you learn!
Good Smarts!
