Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I hope today you have a wonderful day with family and friends, and you keep in mind the real reason for the season, Jesus Christ! Christmas is always a special time for me and my family, because normally relatives who live in other states come out, and we always celebrate at home with everyone.

In replacement of a regular post, I decided I'd put up the Christmas story from Luke 2.

This is my last post of 2018, so I will see you in 2019!

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Luke 2:1-52 (NIV)

The Birth of Jesus
1In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3And everyone went to their own town to register.
4So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
21On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.
Jesus Presented in the Temple
22When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23(as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”), 24and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”
25Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 26It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
29“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you may now dismiss your servant in peace.
30For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and the glory of your people Israel.”
33The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”
36There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. 38Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.
39When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. 40And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
The Boy Jesus at the Temple
41Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”
49  “Why were you searching for me?”he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”  50But they did not understand what he was saying to them.
51Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

The True Meaning Of Christmas

Hellooooo everyone! Can you believe Christmas is less than a week away?! Pretty crazy. It honestly doesn't seem like Christmas was that long ago...

Today I wanted to talk about the true meaning of Christmas, because over the years, we've seemed to get a corrupted view of what Christmas really is about.

---

A lot of people think that Christmas is about big get togethers, Santa, presents, cookies, snowmen, and everything else that falls into the "stereotypical" kind of Christmas.

But none of that is what Christmas is really about. All of that can be fun, but that's not what it's about. What Christmas is really about, is this.

A little baby boy who was born in a manger over 2,000 years ago. A baby born to save the world from it's sins. A baby born to heal those who cannot be healed. A baby born to love the unloveable. A baby born to save those who cannot be saved. A baby born so that we could be with Him for eternity. A baby born to do everything that we cannot. A baby born to show His justice.

That baby boy is Jesus. The Savior, and Maker of the whole world. The one foretold in the old testament. The King of Kings.

He came to earth for us.

Can we even wrap our heads around that? All this material stuff that we've turned Christmas into is fading. It does not last forever. But Jesus is the One gift that will last for all of eternity. Even though Jesus was a gift, He doesn't want any gifts from us. He just simply wants us. He wants our hearts. He wants you! That's what Christmas is really about. Christmas is about Christ. It's not about anything else.

So, let's all take a moment to reflect upon the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus. Before we get all caught up in presents, and everything else the world has to offer on Christmas, remember Jesus. Remember the One gift that tops any other gift we could ever get. Will you give Jesus what He wants for Christmas? Because all He really wants is you. He wants to spend eternity with you. Will you put your faith and hope in Jesus this Christmas? I'd be more than happy to talk to you about what that means in the comments, or on Animal Jam. Let me know!!

Let's Do... Something!

Hi guys! I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday! Today me and my dad went Christmas shopping for my mom, which was a lot of fun! We got her a lot of special stuff. :) Have you finished any of your Christmas shopping yet? I can say I'm completely done, because me and my mom already did shopping for my dad, and I already got gifts out in the mail to friends! I feel very successful. XDD

---

Yes that's my moms account, mine got locked out because it kept saying my password was wrong, so I kept trying it again, and it kept giving me the little jammer security check thing. Has AJ ever done that to you? o.o

I didn't really have any time to post during the day today, so when I finally sat down to write this tonight, I didn't really have any ideas. But then I thought, "what if we do a project?". Not something too huge and elaborate like that one story project I was doing on my blog (that got very complicated and I had to end that XD), but just something small. I'm not sure what yet. Maybe it could be a story, but on a very small scale? I'm not sure...

Or it could be a collaborative masterpiece, or something like that. I feel like the blogger community has become a little disconnected, and I'd love to do something together as Animal Jam bloggers, to get to know everyone a little better! I think a community project would be so much fun, and would get people more involved.

So.... What do you guys think? What ideas do you have? Please let me know! It would be so much fun to get a bunch of bloggers involved in whatever we start! Maybe we could even start a Google+ community to discuss this project. No idea what, but... Let me know!

Romans 14:7

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Party Canceled

Hey! Just want to let you all know that the party is canceled due to me not really wanting to go on AJ?? XDD  Hope you have a good day!!

Christmas Joy!

Hellooooo everyone! How's your week going so far? Today my allergies have been bothering me like crazy. I hope it is allergies, and I'm not getting a cold. :P I've been pretty miserable all day. I'm writing this post outside in the freezing cold because that seems to be the only place that doesn't make my allergies go crazy. XDD

It's so crazy that we're only 21 days away from Christmas! It seems like this year just flew right by us!

Let's get started with todays post, which is actually about Christmas!

---

Jesus was the best gift any of us could of ever gotten, so we should reflect the joy of Christ in everything we do. One thing we could do is give people things, or give them an encouraging note, and we can do that right on Animal Jam! You cold send them a JAG with an encouraging message, maybe even with a gift attached.

Except... you can't say merry on Animal Jam

I dunno

It could be as simple as saying, "Happy Jamaalidays!"

You could also give new jammers gifts too!

Animal Jam tends to have new jammers (or other people) first land in Congo, or unpopular lands it seems. Some of the places you can find new jammers are in Bakoy, Sawtooth, or Congo.

Find a jammer that doesn't seem to have much, and only has a few items on their trade list.

Even though they aren't extremely rare, people do still like the new spiked collars! I bought some of those and traded people them. Or if theres some items you know you'll probably never use, you could trade them that!

That's really all you have to do to make someones day. It could be as simple as that, just a little something to give them joy this holiday season.

Are you up for the challenge?

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.
