AJ Plants Compared To Real Life Plants!

Heyyy guys! This post is another one that was taken from my blog, so if you read my blog, you're not crazy, you've probably seen this post before. XDD Don't worry though, I'll write a brand new post next Tuesday for you guys! :)

In today's post, I'm going to be showing AJ plants compared to the plants they're based off of in real life! It's pretty awesome how AJHQ has gotten so many of the tiny details of the real plants onto the AJ plants. I was pretty impressed when I saw them compared! Let's get started.

*Just a disclaimer, all of the real life pictures are NOT my own. I got them off of Google, so some of them are originally from Pinterest, Home Depot, the almanac, etc..

Starting with the petunia flower bed that's for sale in treetop gardens (all of the plants in this post are currently for sale there)!

These two aren't exact in color, but they did a great job in getting the shape of the flowers almost exact! All of them have a yellow center, as they do in real life, and have greenery surrounding the petunias.

Next we have the passion flower! I've actually never heard of this kind of flower, but they're actually really beautiful.

God is for sure the best artist, and I love all of the detail in this flower. Animal Jam did a great job in capturing the little details this flower has! They even got the leaves surrounding it almost the same, except the Animal Jam version is a little more yellow than it is in real life.

Now we have the mass cane plant!

Wow. Wow. Wow. This is literally like a carbon copy of the real thing! Between the leaves, the trunk of the tree, everything is literally identical! AJ was pretty impressive on this one!

Here's the next one, the Boston fern!

This one isn't exactly the same, but the leaves are pretty similar! The Animal Jam version is a lot more fuller, but there are some Boston ferns in real life that look a lot more fuller than the one above.

The sweet pea plant! My grandma always used the name "sweet pea" for different electronic things for some reason. XD

This one is almost identical too! I have to say, I am really impressed and surprised that something in the virtual world could look so much like something in real life. Those Animal Jam coders and designers don't get enough credit for what they do!

Finally, the crocus flower! Another flower I had never heard of. XD

This one is pretty similar, but not exact. The AJ version is more opened up than the real life version. Maybe the flowers in the picture hadn't fully bloomed yet, but they are super pretty!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Which AJ plant looked the life like to you? I think the mass cane plant looked the most realistic to me!

Here's todays Bible verse!

1 John 4:10

This is real love - not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

Parties I Think We Forgot About...

Hi, guys! I know I haven't been back on Animal Jam Community in a few weeks, because I was kinda confused about the new vision for AJC. But as of right now, I'm back. :) Today's post is from my blog, The Animal Jam Friendship Community, that I posted a few weeks ago. Let's get started!

Today's post is going to be about something I think we forget even exists on Animal Jam sometimes. Parties! I honestly find myself really only going to the seasonal parties, when I forget even the regular parties have some pretty cool items.

---

The first of the parties is the wolves only party!

I love the graphic for this party! The wolves only party has been around for such a long time, that this almost has a beta look to it.

I always found this party a little strange, because it almost reminds me of a club... Just my opinion but uh- anyways. XDD

I never really see these items in anybody's dens, except for the moon window. Pretty sure that most of these people have forgotten about!

This is the top of the volcano at the party, and I'm not quite sure what I ran into... The wolf on the left said something about the moon being made of cheese. Not sure what the wolf on the right is up to.

Moving on...

The next party is the dinner party! I haven't been to this party in forever!

I really don't remember the flooring and the couch being blue... But alllllright.

These are probably my favorite party items, and they're super inexpensive! I absolutely love the tables, and the diner set. The ice cream sundae is pretty great too... hehe

Lots of nostalgia going back to this party! It was always so much fun pretending to be a waitress, and meeting new people.

Delivering food to people was so much fun too! Running into the kitchen "grabbing" a hamburger, or donut.

When I joined Animal Jam, this was pretty much everyones least favorite party for some reason. I loved it though!

The little cart you can buy items off of is so cute!

But I realized something...
I don't think they sell the bird poop anymore...
:cries intensely:

I always thought this party was so pretty, and it really was an educational party, since you could click on the birds that landed on the trees and learn more about them and-

Hello :)

I randomly decided to check out Animal Jam Community after probably half a decade or more of inactivity. And I can't believe what I have found.

When I created this blog nearly nine (yes, nine!) years ago, Animal Jam was not even fully released, I was 12 years old, and I wanted to blog about something new and become a "popular" blogger. I had watched many Club Penguin players had years before me rack up millions of hits, and while I had a decent following on my own Club Penguin blog, I wanted to tap into a market that hadn't really been explored yet... which was a new game I found called Animal Jam.

The name "Animal Jam Community" was chosen almost completely randomly. There was no deep thought process used, no prediction that an actual community would ever be built around what couldn't possibly ever be anything more than a teenager's blog about an online game. And yet, nearly a decade later, it seems that a community has been built.

Because to my surprise, when I checked on this blog for the first time in my adulthood, it wasn't dead. It wasn't abandoned. It hadn't been automatically deleted for inactivity, or hacked by spammers, or left to die by the authors I once hired who I figured had moved on with their lives, just as I had. It had been kept up and passed on to new kids and teenagers, with their own ideas, their own styles, and their own goals. And Pumaa, my co-owner who I long assumed I would never hear of again, was also feeling nostalgic and making posts similar to the one I am writing now.

While AJC may not be the daily updates blog that drew 100,000+ monthly pageviews any longer, it has evolved to something I am much more proud of, something much more special. It has evolved into an archive of memories, both of what the game was like back in "the day" and of what we, the community, did and who we were.

While I agree with Pumaa's recent statements that some of this blog's content isn't exactly what we had in mind when we built this blog, I'm okay with most things staying up because every little piece of this blog seems to mean something to someone, and that makes it pretty special in my eyes. And if people want to keep building the community further--whether that be with new authors, or just with occasional posts from the ones who are already here--I'm happy to provide this blog as a platform for them to do so.

I can't promise I'll be back here to check on things very often. I can't even promise I'll think to stop by ever again. But maybe I will, and maybe other people who were, and still remain, a part of this community will feel nostalgic and drop by some time as well.

Whoever you are, if you're here, and if you consider yourself a part of this community--whether you were an author here, or a reader, or if you're just looking back at some of our memories for the first time now--I want to thank you for being a part of this. Never did I think my silly blog would ever become something bigger than my silly blog, but I'm very proud that it has.

Feel free to leave a comment with some memories, or some updates on your lives... or whatever you feel like leaving. I'll try to check back soon.

ps. can someone tell me why this video has nearly 400,000 views? What about it is significant enough that people are finding it and watching it 7 years later?
