How to Adopt a BAT PET

Hi jammers!
In the new Spooky Party, you can adopt the rare bat pets! To adopt one, go up to the top of the house and click on the bat, hidden in the wallpaper.

If you click the right spot, you'll be able to adopt a bat pet!

This is very cool! I like the fact that it isn't super obvious that you can adopt this pet, so they are still somewhat rare. However, I keep getting this error....

Does anybody know how to get rid of this?

What do you think of bats being brought back?

Duck Pillow and More

Hi jammers!
Over the course of the past 2 days, several items have been released in Jamaa. The first item is the Duck Pillow, in the Claws N Paws shop.

In Sunken Treasures, you can get the Compass.

There is also a new item in the Spooky Party! What do you think of Animal Jam releasing so many items lately?

Appondale Journey Book Cheats

Hi jammers!
The new Journey Book in Appondale is here, and this post will give you full cheats on how to collect everything in the book. Here are the animal locations:
Ant:
The ant is one of the only things in the Journey Book that can be found at all times. It's located near the mud pit.

Black Mamba:
The black mamba is probably the second most common thing in the Journey Book. It is constantly slithering around, it's pretty hard to miss.

Warthog:
The warthog is also a common sighting. It appears in the mud pit.

Zebra:
The zebra is fairly common but isn't around all the time. You can see him running back and forth in the distance.

Wildebeest:
This big animal can also be found in the distance. He is less common than the zebra but does still appear often.

Rock Hyrax:
The rock hyrax is slightly less common and can be found near the edge of the room, on a rock.

Cockroach:
The cockroach is also always visible. It crawls around near the door to the Animal Museum.

Weaverbird:
The weaverbird's nest is always visible but the bird itself is not. When it is around it will be hanging off the giant tree.

Guinea Fowl:
This large bird is fairly common. It can usually be found near the random mysterious cave.

Meerkat:
The meerkat is hard to spot but it is usually standing on this rock.

Golden Mole:
This funny animal is probably the hardest, least common thing to find. He only appears every now and then, and only for a short time, in the cave.

Getting Your Prize:
Once you've found everything, click on the gift in your Journey Book. Your prize is...

...The Acacia Pet Tree! This item is a GIGANTIC item and takes up quite a bit of space. You can put your pets on it! What do you think?

New Jamaa Journal 26/04/2012

Hi jammers!
It's Thursday which means a new Jamaa Journal is out! Let's have a look:

So there is a new game, involving pet snakes, at Coral Canyons! It's called "Sssssnake"!

On the second page, it says that there is a new underwater version of the popular game, Best Dressed! It's located in Bahari Bay. Also, there is a new Spooky Party!

On page 3 it says that if you're a member in May, you'll get Phantom Invasion for your den! Also, there's a new Journey Book in Appondale - cheats will come soon!

This next page has a reminder about pet bunnies, which will be gone soon. There's also a puzzle on the page that asks you to look for all the letters in the Jamaa Journal that are placed randomly on the page. Unscramble them and you'll get a hint of something coming to Jamaa soon - the letters spell Giraffe! This must mean that the new animal coming soon is a giraffe!
The final page just shows the winning contest entry for the den item contest!

This item comes in eight colors: Blue, Orange, Pink, Red, Yellow, Green, Purple, and Gray.

New Atlantis Party

Hi jammers!
I know I'm a bit late but this is the first time I've been able to get into the Atlantis Party, so as usual with parties, I have posted a video. Enjoy!

This Train Set used to be really rare... I feel bad for the people who had it when it was resold. D=

The Flippers were never very rare, unlike the Train Set.

What do you think of the way AJHQ keeps reselling rare items? I don't think it's very fair for people who work so long and hard to get a really rare item and then soon after it is resold...

New Item: Doggy Door 4/17/12

Hey Jammers!
Today there is one new item.

Claws 'N Paws (Appondale):

This item comes in 8 colors: Black/White, Blue, Purple/Pink, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green. So far the only pet den items are for dogs. :/

Also, has anyone noticed the underwater Pet items? Just go to an underwater land, open your profile, open your pet profiles, and it should look like this:

See the "Pet Shop" button? Click that.

You can't access this shop through Flippers 'N Fins.  Also, the Shark Cage used to be a normal den item, and there aren't any Shark pets. I think AJHQ was working on this, and now you can see they're work so far by accident. The Shark Cage is probably a test item, and won't be an actual pet item.

Silver Brick & More

Hi jammers!
Today a few new items came out in Jamaa! Two items, the Silver Brick and the returning Red Sports Car, can be found in Epic Wonders.

Now, in the Claws N Paws Pet Shop, you can buy a dog toy!

In Sunken Treasures, you can get the Underwater Globe.

Also, in the Horses Only Party, there is some new music for your den!

Extreme Glitches

Hi jammers!
Today my sister, Fuzzy ShyIvy, and I were on Animal Jam, with some friends. We were in the Sarepia Forest trying out the new sky glitches, when something weird happened to me...

Everybody, including myself, randomly disappeared! Slowly others started to appear, but I never did, and I had to leave and come back.

Then, when I came back, my sister was talking to me. I glanced over to look at her computer, and saw that on her monitor, we were standing on a completely different part of the room!

New Shop and Jamaa Journal Layout

A new Animal Jam shop has been released! It is in Claws N' Paws, in Appondale, and can be accessed by clicking here (on the top level):

In this new shop you can buy stuff for your pets! New items will be released there soon.

Also, I'm sure you've noticed the new Jamaa Journal layout!

Personally, I love the new layout in comparison to the old one. You can click directly on the article you want to read, and it's easier to know exactly what you'll find in the Jamaa Journal! What are your thoughts?
