Another Sundae! (#68?)

Goodness! Where has the time gone? It's crazy honestly - we're already a week into 2017, and it's already Sunday! I've been back at school for an entire week now already? Yikes, I can hardly believe it!

Anywho, greetings Jammers! I hope you are all doing well - those of you on break, enjoy it while it lasts, and those back in school - make the best of it! Summer will be upon us soon!

I haven't been paying too much attention to what's been in stores lately, so I'm not entirely certain what is actually new, and what isn't. My best guess is probably that it's one of these items, sold in Jam Mart Furniture, but I'm not entirely sure:

A while ago I did a poll to see which den I would decorate. It seems the Crystal Palace and Sir Gilbert's Palace got the highest votes - both tying for first with 15 votes each! So which to choose?

Thus, I left it to an online spinner, with sections separated into equal proportions of "Gilbert" or "Crystal" and the results stand so:

It appears that I'll be doing Sir Gilbert's Palace then! Luckily, this castle is slightly smaller than the other choices, which might make it easier for me to decorate. I suppose I'll have to begin decorating soon- and moving items since my storage is full!! So, look forward to seeing updates on that!

Alrighty, now it is time for this week's:

This week, I thought I'd tie in some factual things along with interesting pictures! So enjoy being educated, and entertained!

Firstly, these unexpected tree climbers:

Did you know that this is a legitimate thing? These goats are from Morocco, and it is not unusual to see them climbing like this. Argan Trees have wonderful berries (shown above) that the goats enjoy eating. As a result, goats climb these trees in hopes of getting a great snack. Certainly not the first climbing creatures that'd come to mind when you think of trees!

Next, this fabulous fish:

Photos like this just go to show that there's a lot we don't know about creatures that live in the ocean. There's more than meets the eye about this interesting fish. And actually, it's not just their bright red lips that make them unusual: Red-lipped bat fish are actually terrible swimmers, and instead walk along the ocean floor with their fins!

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's.... A frog? :

endangeredliving.com
Nope, not a superhero, but rather Wallace's Flying Frog! Found in places like Indonesia and Malaysia, these guys use their webbed feet as parachutes and are able to glide distances up to 50 feet! Sure is graceful though isn't he?

And finally, this guy who puts all other facial hair to shame:

Yes folks, this bird has a moustache. This fascinating guy lives on the coasts of Chile and Peru, and is known for, well, it's unique feathering. That's not all though, this bird has an interesting cry that sounds a bit like a cat mewing!

Strange, what kind of creatures and information you find when you look for it! I'll go back to a standard Jammer Sundae next week folks - I simply thought it would be interesting to take a look at all the strange things nature has to offer!

And now, it is time for the factual part of this post:

Our word of the day:

Gallivant: To run or wander around in the pursuit of entertainment

Hmm... Sounds a bit like what I do when I make Jammer Sundaes. Gallivanting around the web?

And finally, our fact of the day (as if this post didn't already contain enough facts!):

Think a cloud is fluffy and light? Think again friend, for you are quite mistaken. They actually can weigh around 500,000 kilograms (1.1 million pounds). This is roughly the weight of 100 elephants!

But, how?! How do they stay in the sky?! Ah, this world never ceases to amaze!

Have a splendiferous day my friends. See you all again next week!
